Hygiene in the food service industry

How is hygiene taken in to consideration when it comes to service and presentation?

    Dalebrook's Melamine Enamelware

As restaurants, pubs and food outlets all embraced the trend for vintage, unconventional and quirky serving solutions we have seen the use of traditional enamelware making a comeback. This traditional material is renowned for its fragility, often cracking and chipping after only being used several times, therefore presenting a hygiene and safety issue for food service operators.

This is where our melamine Enamelware range presents an alternative food-safe solution for any food service venue looking to embrace the latest trend and use product designed to appeal to the consumer.

Hygiene in the food service industry is of paramount importance and the storage, preparation and cooking of food is carefully handled and managed by venues. Alternative melamine products look the part and are durable and practical giving customers the confidence that their dish is served with complete hygiene and safety in mind.

Why attending exhibitions is good for business.

Dalebrook recently exhibited at the Food and Drink Expo, Birmingham NEC.

This was a great opportunity to showcase our latest food display solutions. We had a record number of visitors to the stand which along with our product offer were tailored to appeal to the independent retailer.

Martin Chudleigh, Marketing Director Dalebrook Supplies said “Exhibiting and attending a show such as the Food and Drink Expo was invaluable!

“It gave us an opportunity to meet with independent retailers across a wide variety of sectors, and hear first-hand the challenges faced when merchandising a retail counter.

“I’ve worked extensively with both large and small retailers and have a proven track record of increasing sales for those customers.  Hearing at a grass-roots level the challenges and the successes of independent retailers was fantastic. It proved that everything we believe within our business enables us to meet our customers needs.

“Our recently launched Retail Butchers’ Counter Display brochure highlights how using a range of display techniques can showcase any product, these techniques can be applied in any farm shop, fish mongers, butchers or deli.

Whilst at the show Martin was interviewed by the internet radio show ‘Food Talk Radio‘ where he discussed the importance of food display for independent retailers and viewing your business from your customers perspective. You can listen here >>
